Creativity is our business model and coping mechanism. So to deal with COVID-19, we also turned to creativity - coming up with ideas that helped us stay safe. These were ideas with expiration dates (we hoped!) - designed for specific moments, and produced during a period of unprecedented global supply chain challenges.
In the first moments that could be described as "post-pandemic", things were reopening, slowly. You had to bring vaccine cards everywhere. We wondered if it was ok to approach each other. We decided the best way through was to put all our cards on the table...or, more accurately, on our chests. We created a line of merch with vinyl pockets on them so you could easily carry your vaccine cards and not encounter uncertainty. In a time when everyone felt a little vulnerable we made being vaccinated a point of pride.
We designed the shirts from start to finish, finding vendors who could work at a rapid pace. We built the e-commerce site and marketing plan, and went from idea to launch in less than a month.
In May 2020, we launched Our Littlest Ones - selling masks designed to make kids feel safe and confident in the midst of some super scary days when viruses were big news and kids didn't have a ton of personal protection options. We made an assortment of 5 masks; each featured original, fun characters with protective superpowers, so kids actually want to wear them. Being safe can be fun!
